What do we do when we are granted the gift of solitude?
Over the two years and a half, most of us were forced to be alone with our thoughts - uninterrupted. I spent a lot of time then contemplating life and our struggles as mankind on earth.
Birth, as depicted by the embryo in the center, marks the start of our struggles. These struggles coupled with a myriad of experiences continue on throughout our life. Similar to how heat tempers steel, our daily struggles and experiences temper us as human being. It does not matter how tough the struggle gets, because ultimately, we fight to live on as living on means a chance for a better tomorrow.
This was the inspiration for my art series entitled "Life"
One of life's skills
is live to be led.
That which feeds, kills.
That which kills is fed.
But when one is
at the start
of this
beating heart,
it just wants
to live.
